During the past several years, the Stoof Security Driving Program has been utilised and administered to over 265 participants in six different countries. Our program is successful because it increases driver safety, performance, and awareness. We tend to open students eyes a little wider with our unique instruction. Please look at your own records and statistics to find how our Security Driving Program has reduced the number of incidents throughout the various United Nations departments and sections. Within the first year of implementation, I believe you will find a significant decrease in incidents (approximately 50%).

We have been reaching out to those that cannot come to us for training (i.e. Kabul, Afghanistan). Twice we have traveled to Kabul (June 2005 and February 2006) to conduct four uniquely different courses for four different government entities; and we are planning a third course in early fall of this year. We are not trying to breed successful security drivers; we want there to a uniformity of cohesion between all security drivers worldwide.

Our instructors stay on top of current affairs (happenings in the world) and are ready to adapt and/or implement new training material as it may be deemed necessary. We have done so in the past, and we will continue to do so.

Besides the fact that we have trained students in Germany, Jordan, Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, and Afghanistan; we can also instruct courses in English, German, and Arabic. Several courses have been conducted in two languages and they were all successful courses.

We cover all levels of security driver training from beginner to professional level, the learning phase is important for all students who wish to become a security driver; a security driver is someone who is professionally trained and a valuable asset to their organisation. The role of a security driver extends past controlling an armoured vehicle on route from point A to B. It is the driver of the vehicle who is responsible for the safety of all passengers whilst the vehicle is in motion and it is the driver who must respond immediately to any incident whether this be controlling the vehicle or driving evasively in the event of an emergency. It is important that the security driver is educated in the methods and tactics used by terrorists to hinder their objective. Recognising an attack even just seconds prior to it being initiated will result in saving the lives of the vehicle occupants.
